For commercial sign shops

Quoting software built around how your sign shop prices work.

Materials, dimensions, installation, vendor costs and margin all belong in the same estimate. MetricSpec builds custom quoting workflows around those decisions, so the person preparing the proposal can see the assumptions behind it.

The work behind a quote

Keep the details that make your estimates different.

A channel-letter estimate is not a vehicle-wrap estimate. A useful workflow needs to preserve the decisions your team actually makes, rather than hide them in one unexplained total.

01

Catalog and pricing rules

Define reusable products, cost inputs, markup and tax settings instead of treating an old spreadsheet as the only explanation.

02

Scope and installation

Keep quantities, dimensions, installation labor and job notes connected to the line items they affect.

03

Vendor-dependent costs

Connect outside pricing requests to the proposal waiting on them, with pending costs visible.

04

Revisions and proposal output

Preserve customer context and quote history, then produce a branded proposal from the same working estimate.

A concrete example

Built around a commercial signage workflow.

The Brandex Media case study shows the scope MetricSpec developed around product pricing, vendor requests, quote revisions and branded output. It is a workflow example, not a guarantee of savings or turnaround time for another shop.

Fit before features

Custom software is not always the right answer.

If your current estimating tool already fits, keep it. The review starts with where work gets repeated, lost or difficult to check. A standard product, a smaller integration, or a custom workflow can then be compared against the same concrete requirements.

A small paid first step

Start with one $149 revision check.

Have two redacted spreadsheet or CSV versions of the same estimate? For one pair with up to 25 distinct line IDs and 10 columns per version, we will produce a human-reviewable change register that labels changed, added, removed and held lines.

Delivery is within two business days after we receive usable input and agree the scope and payment terms. One correction is included inside a two-hour total work cap.

This is a manual review aid—not an import, price calculation, CAD conversion, unit conversion, engineering approval or production release. If your current estimating system already handles version comparison reliably, keep it.

Start with a process description only. Do not attach customer records, credentials, formulas, proprietary drawings, confidential vendor pricing, export-controlled information or other sensitive data.

The next step

Show us where your quoting process gets difficult.

Tell us what your shop makes, how you prepare estimates today, and which handoff causes the most trouble. We will discuss fit and scope before proposing an implementation.

For the first conversation, describe the process or use an anonymized example. Do not email customer records, confidential vendor pricing or account credentials.

This opens an email draft. A review time is agreed after we receive your inquiry.
